Great work Hunter, things are really coming along there. I know you are busy and totally focused on LA, but San Diego could really use some good representation in the urban photography department. Tijuana as well I have been down there a few times in the past month and it is a very unique layout to a city, it sits in a bowl with steep hills on each side carpeted in dwellings. Anyhow pm me if you every want to venture South and cover some different areas.

Thanks Mello, I'll let you know! Haven't been to TJ in at least 15 years.

Thanks Ethereal, it was only your Noirish Thread that sparked my serious interest in DTLA to begin with.

That asshole that tagged the retail of the case hotel has been on a rampage recently. He got the Wedbush building facing the freeway and several other locations on the 110. I would love to chop off his thumb and watch him struggle to tag that bullshit with 4 fingers

That would be too kind..

This tagging shit is part of the Los Angeles culture, it disgusts me how accepting Angelenos are of everything. The worst part about all the DTLA tagging is they all Instagram themselves in the act of tagging. I've taken their Instagram accounts to the police (who did nothing) then to the building owners (who did nothing as well), nobody cares.

Hey guys,

I think I'm going to let this thread come to a close at this point.

It is not the 5th highest viewed thread in the history of the My City Photos section, and by far the highest viewed thread of the last 6 months here.

That being said, I am almost the only one who posts here. If the thread is going to be a dumping ground for my photos without any conversation back & forth there is no point to it as most of you can just follow me on Flickr and see the same images.

I appreciate those of you who encouraged me, thanks!

Thanks Hunter, Sorry to see this closed enjoyed it very much all changes noted I will follow along. I don't comment to much because I'm not there. Your images have made this transformation throughout DT and beyond much more interesting especially for those outside area. Glad your back, great development news day too.

You can do whatever you want to do Hunter, but I didn't comment more on this thread because I thought the focus was on your photos. I could talk about LA all day lol

What's the plan for 724 S. Broadway again? Can't believe it's still in that condition

I've enjoyed this thread and checked in on it on an almost daily basis. I haven't commented because I thought it was just meant to be a photo thread, and not a discussion thread. Regardless, thank you for the photos thus far and I hope you reconsider putting an end to this thread. I promise to be more conversational if you do

Comment away!

No idea whats happening at 724 S Broadway specifically, but I'd be willing to bet creative office.

Haha thank you. I will consider it, specially if the jackass mods from the City Compilation thread don't find their way over here...

I think that's less on you and more just that people don't really comment on the photo section anymore. I know I, for one, really enjoyed your photos, and hope you reconsider and decide to keep posting here.

HK, have you been in the co-working space on Broadway? I've been meaning to go in but haven't yet. Looks like a beautiful space from the street, tho.

Hunter, I know my infatuation with the Merritt Building rivals yours. Do you know if there is anything in the works to bring it back to life? I wonder who the owner is. It seems to be ripe for redevelopment since there is so much going on in the neighborhood (especially the fact the the May Co building will be renovated soon). BTW, I hope you continue to post here. I love your photography.

I think you're right, we need to get more people into the My City Photos section...

I haven't been inside, but it looks nice outside.

Ahhh the Merrritt... There is nothing in the works thus far. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear something in the next 2 years though.

In the interest of keeping Downtown LA at the forefront of anyone in the My City Photos sections minds;

Me and my wife love driving in the entire state of California. I have read in different magazines and LA newspapers that Downtown Los Angeles' skyline will change dramatically in the next few years with the addition of several buildings, including the New Wilshire Grand hotel and office project. This building will be the L.A.'s tallest — at 1,100 feet. We are very curios too see how all of this will look. Keep up the good work with the pictures, Dr. Missier Vijay Karel Maddipoti & Aishwarya Koes'na Rambhatla Paragh.

This gives such a strange feeling. We used to live, during our medical study, above the Star Bucks on the above picture. This is amazing, thank you for the picture. This was more then 15 years ago, but now all memories come back. I own 2 cars now, and back then we just had 1 bike to share. Dr.Missier Vijay Karel Maddipoti & Aishwarya Koes 'na Rambhatla Paragh
