@ozonemania: yes, absolutely. They're ugly individually, but do break the monotony, which, if you notice, started years back with the Guinness Tower (built around 1969) and Oceanic Plaza (a year or two later).
But this whole greenish-glass complex is WEIRD. Does it affect
indoor lighting? Is it meant to harmonize with the rainy, woodsy Vancouver environment? Is it so that buyers will feel that they're getting as good a deal "here" as "there?"
It reminds me of the old Burt Bacharach song:
"§ Paper Maché:"
§ ... twenty houses in a row, eighty people watch a TV show ...
§ ... paper people, cardboard dreams; how unreal the whole thing seems ... ... ... ad nauseum
