I bet all this new river activity is playing hob with the values of some of those previously overlooked buildings along the north branch.

I'm getting married in 11 days and my host hotel is the Holiday Inn at the Mart. I was hoping they would still have the crane up since it just screams LOOK AT ALL THE CONSTRUCTION to everyone coming from out of town.

^Congrats, and of course it will be up! I like to impress out-of-town guests with cranes, too, usually by taking them the long way in order to pass by a few sites. There's no better time than now, especially with Big Red over at 150. All the activity going on at the Confluence seems to stop people in their tracks, especially walking along the Randolph Street bridge. I was on the Green Line heading west over the river last week and I noticed a cute, trendy, West Loop type woman, wearing a Blackhawks shirt, taking a pic of the construction. #dreamgirl

This building is SO MUCH better than I had envisioned. It's refreshing when this happens because it typically goes the other direction. The color, the angles, the position on the river - it's all outstanding. I wish the next two towers were also clad in the same fabulous glass.

View from atop Wolf Point West (picture from YoChicago)

I saw this photo from the YoChicago flickr feed and thought this board would appreciate the view.

Wolf Point West Under Construction

One of my favorites I've seen so far.

The image didn't seem to load, so I linked to it.

^. Only by the renters in the West Tower. Both views pictured on yochicago will not exist once the South Tower is built.

It's really a pretty West Tower

I was referring to posting YoChicago's pictures. But yours is also frivolous.

This project will still have spectacular views down the south branch, a few units should still be able to see a little of the main branch looking east, and the top floors will have great city views north and northeast. The other two towers will only take a bite out of what will still be an outstanding location for looking at the city.

There is no problem with linking to our images at Flickr or at YoChicago, either by a direct link or by using the image link tool in this site's BBS software.

The objection has always been limited to copying our images to a different server and then, in all too many cases, presenting them as your own.

Image link tool or not the yo images do get removed from the forum it's a pain in the ass for the mods and direct links only encourage members that don't know any better to create more of a hassle. So just don't go to yo its not worth it.
