Everything's coming together for the tower 1 area. Site barriers are coming down along Graham and Hargrave. Protective wood areas on top of church are coming down. Minor finishing of edges left to complete in some spots.

Concrete is poured at the Graham Ave corner for sidewalks. Looks like they have a bit of roadwork to do along Hargrave. But the sidewalk is poured.

Will be interesting to see if they raise that intersection now, or wait for some fuller plan for all of Graham. It needs a makeover end to end.

I find it visually unsettling to see ~16 floors of installed windows with pieces of plywood in every third window. What is preventing them from installing a complete window that it has to have a piece of plywood in it?

Most likely those locations are for a mechanical space and the grills have not arrived yet.

i heard they ran out of $ because the Whiteout parties cost so much, so it'll remain plywood until they can raise the funds for additional windows

Food Hall looks fantastic – that taco stand is Merchant Kitchen's.

And yeah those plywood areas will be ventilation.

^Those vertical fins really add some nice texture to the building. I remember being surprised when I first saw them but now I love them. Sometimes a simple feature like that makes a big difference. Similar to the ones on the plug-in/stellas building, I love those too.

Agreed. I will say though it definitely depends on the application – on the new Police HQ they kind of make it look weird and older, and on 287 Broadway they just look downright bizarre.

There’s one that I look at from my office in Toronto that still has a couple of plywood windows well over a year after it was topped off. All of this stuff is normal condo/apt tower protocol. Don’t worry.

A lot of buildings are putting these into their lobbies now as parcel theft is a huge issue out east. It's a great idea. I wonder if they just said "groceries" as an example – I've never heard of any having refrigeration, which would be a problem for grocery delivery. If they have fridges there – game changer.

It was being discussed in some other thread where people were going on about grocery stores downtown. This sort of facility is becoming common, apparently, to make downtown living more appealing. It’s separate from the parcel place.

Similar look to the Assembly Food Hall that opened up recently in the Richmond Adelaide Centre in Toronto. I went there a couple of months back at lunchtime. Quite nice. The restaurants are real restaurants from around the city that offer a limited menu in the Food Hall. I assume it’s similar in the TNS version.
