That rush hour traffic jam looks badass... Are those buses in a special lane, cause it doesn't seem like they're moving very much...

My company sent a couple employees up to Seattle for what is turning out to be longterm work in the area. Wish they would have sent me! Seattle never ceases to amaze me. As always, thanks for taking the time to photograph and post these shots.

(btw, when were these photos taken?)

Yes. The curb lanes on 2'nd & 4'th in the main downtown core are bus-only lanes during ruhh hour.

Also, Third Avenue is bus-only during rush hour. That's because the Bus Tunnel, with its mile-and-a-half route and five underground stations, is closed for two years so it can be retrofitted to handle both buses and rail.

You make Seattle so inviting, excellent photos. One thing I had to comment on. What is with men and these miniture dogs. Even in my neck of the woods, my neighbors (male) all walk around with these little dogs. Yet the women I see around here have ones bigger than them. Wha gives?

I'm mystified by this as well.

A dog ought to weigh at least 25 pounds and have a snout. And no god damn barking.

PS, my neighborhood has lots of those leashes that extend out to 15 feet or whatever. I'm merciless with those, basically walking right through them. It's a busy sidewalk. If people are that rude, fuck em.
