River Walk effect already taking place -

From Hidden Philly; "Old Iron Works in Logan Square To Face the Wrecking Ball":
"The old iron works site is listed with a current market value of $2,772,000, however the value, and pressure to sell the property, has likely increased now that construction across the street has begun on River Walk, PMC Property Group’s twin residential tower project. Once the demolition permit is approved, plans for the parcel include 16 residential units and a parking garage. According to Melchiorre, the owner planned to close on the sale of the property on April 11."

I believe anything considered a high-rise (75 ft) that is active or moving forward gets its own dedicated string. I’m not 100% on the guidelines - my most educated guess.

We usually use 15 stories or ~150 feet as the minimum. Since it already has its own thread, though, once we have photo confirmation that steel is in the ground (site prep and foundation work do not count; the latter due to the Chicago Spire debacle a decade ago) we'll move it to the construction forum.

I don't have a pic but they've been drilling for caissons or whatever for the last 2 weeks or so.

Sorry if it's been mentioned, but are they starting both towers at the same time or is this being done in phases?

Can confirm that there is a crane on site. Couldn't snap a pic though.

Phased, if I recall correctly. I think it will be a short transition, however, a la East Market.

I thought it was 12 stories?

Can be 12 depending on the size of the project. It’s really a grey area.
