I like to take the mouse wheel and scroll up and down quickly, makes it look like it's a moving fan or something.

Some great architecture there in the heart of the Valley of the Sun. I rather like the look of Phoenix City Hall, to name one. That also looks like a nice park there by the Sheraton.

Downtown Phoenix is mostly office and government, it's always empty on weekends unless there is an event going on, which apparently there was nothing when these shots were taken.

Very cool, stepper! A lot of interesting, older buildings remain in downtown. That's always good to see.

Not to mention that a lot of the planned residential developments have either been scaled back (like the CityScape site...where all those cranes were in your pics) or canceled. Unfortunately, Phoenix has a bad habit of getting in the upswing in development right before the economy goes to crap
Although, the stuff that was finished is filling up nicely, apparently.

But yeah, most people still leave the DT area to do shopping, dining. That's how most in the valley are used to operating. That's SLOWLY changing.

Nice downtown, haven't been to Phoenix in about 10 years. Wouldn't mind going back, plus a friend of mine moved to Scottsdale and loves it.
