I think the main impression you get in this video is just how utterly quixotic and chaotic Toronto's built form is. It's an urban feast for the eyes that (almost) makes up in its wondrous farrago for what it lacks in traditional grandeur.

The crush of humanity at Yonge-Dundas Square at the beginning of the video is impressive in a New York-lite kinda way. Then at 45:00 you see why Kensington Market is the absolute funkiest neighbourhood in North America. Insider info: the hipster tacos at Seven Lives are totally worth the wait (53:16).

If you want to dive in and get lost in a city, Toronto on a nice, hot summer day is pretty much everything you could ask for.

King Street is a great street. King East at the beginning of the video looks like the quiet back end of a downtown in a very livable and even charming way. And King West after Spadina (14:00) is really terrific urbanity, though unfortunately it appears to be douche central when it comes to the bars and restaurants.

Skip to 6:25 to see what cyclists in Toronto have to deal with.

A nice long walking video showing an extremely busy weekend around the Convention Centre/CN tower tourist area with Fan Expo taking place.

SpongeG. The Channel is also very informative. I'm not sure what the creator's credentials are, but he keeps it interesting.
