hkskyline's 2016 exploring New Zealand - Franz Josef Glacier

I spent some time at the end of last winter touring South Island, driving around exploring the empty wilderness. The West Coast's glaciers are unique in their co-existence with rainforests. I couldn't visualize what it was like to have a glacier amidst the rainforest, but the walk to the terminal face did the job.
