Snapshot Kansas City, MO

A collection of snapshots taken of KCMO over the past few months. Enjoy!

kansas city looks like a southern plains city to me here, big vistas and dashes of spanish colonial not unlike dallas.

Hmmm. Seems to me I've seen this place somewhere before, but I can't place it exactly where.

It has some great attractions that can surprisingly keep you pretty busy.

These have been snapshots from my phone, so I never thought they would amount to much in comparison to a good camera. Yet, a few photos turned out pretty well and even captured the vistas with great depth. I will agree with you regarding the city's southern plains aspects and it comes across as a younger, western city more than StL.

You got me, man. Actually, just providing the annual KC photo dump to show people we have a bit to offer out here...

Glad you like it. You can walk the streets of Jesse James to bring back that old history of it.

One of my regrets on a trip heading south from Omaha was not stopping in KC at the time. It's downtown & buildings looks like it has solid bones.
On the 8th. pic from the bottom there is a street banner with the Cuban flag on it.
Do you know what that is about?
Otherwise a fantastic thread overall on a very under rated city here on SSP.

Thanks! It's certainly worth checking out if you have another chance of passing through.

The Cuban flag banner is one of many flags on Grand Boulevard that are part of the Organization of American States (OAS) since the boulevard was given the honorary title of Grand Boulevard of the Americas to honor the organization.
