I love those shutters. Security at night, shade and shelter during the day.

If this is for more than skyscrapers, here is a cool little sculpture/seating area on our waterfront:

Not to be rude but what an ugly Modernist cliché.

1. Weird and unnecessary angles....check
2. Rusty metal on the outside....check
3. "Green" roof....check

hmmm...well thanks for the opinion...cant please everyone.

not sure its a cliche though....

at least where i come from, weird (not unnecessary as they form the interior volumes based on views and solar access) angles, green roofs and corten steel are pretty rare (the green roof is functional not aesthetic)....i can appreciate that some wont like it...i actually hope that some wont.....but to suggest it is typical seems a bit off.

i'd love if you could share some examples that you believe to be similar.

A cliché is an expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect

here it is under construction for your interest.

Is that glu-lam? I always drool over how sick glu-lam framing looks. I dunno why it's not used more often in the South.

Just as a side note, 1 Liberty Plaza was painted over in the 80's (or thereabout). CorTen apparently didn't react well to the sea air.

The setting that it is in, with the forest and pond surrounding it, it looks amazing so far. I can't wait until the steel cladding is installed.
