Lullaby can't sniff AC's jock-strap. Sorry.

At least wait till the greatest QB ever retires before you get all arrogant.

Calvillo is a great quarterback, but his greatness is being replaced by the next generation, Lulay. Anyways, do you think he is better than Warren Moon, or even Dieter Brock?

Im still hoping he plays even after this season. I think he's good anough to do it but its up to him. The Als just won't be the same without him. Numbers wise he's the best ever. I haven't seen Moon or Brock play so I can't really say.

Damon Allen > Calvillo.

My guess it was a salary dump.

It doesn't look like the Esks had a 'Plan B' to replace him, either.

I don't think any quarterback in the CFL today is as good as Warren Moon.

Warren Moon dominated the CFL (5 Grey Cups in 6 years), then dominated in the NFL. He is in both Hall of Fames. The only guy who is comparable is Doug Flutie.

And Doug Flutie was a little overrated, really.

I wish I could have seen Moon play. The best I can remember watching is Calvillo; Allen was great, but IMO not as consistent/reliable as AC.

I also think it's a little early to proclaim Lulay as the next great QB. He's had one good year. That said, I think he has the best chance of becoming great of any young QB I've seen in the league in many years.

Whoa there, calling Lulay > than AC?

Lets wait until Lulay accomplishes as much as AC has in the league, then we can compare them.

Lulay is great, no doubt however.

I have seen all three of them play. Calvillo has been way better than Brock, but not as good as Moon.

I think Flutie was the best Moon had such incredible talent around him on the eskies dynasty that it was hard to lose when you have Dr.Death Dave Fennel, mad dog Dan Kepley, Brian Kelley, Jim Germany,Larry Highbaugh ect.. on your team. I would rank the top 5 all time qb's 1)Flutie 2)Moon 3)AC 4) Lancaster 5) Dunnigan

Lulay might be considered as the best QB AFTER Calvillo retires.

Not even. Not yet, anyways. Lulay hasn't accomplished anything near what AC has, and even once AC retires, Lulay might have shown he just doesn't have "that magic".

We still can't measure his success last year, his first true year as a starter, and simply look at that and say "oh because he was so stellar, he is now the best QB in the league". They started 1-6. And its just one year. He has to show he can stay in that form, consistently, throughout the years.

Burris has had amazing years. So has Durant. So has Buck Pierce. I think Drew Tate is going to be amazing this year, personally.

I also think that Ricky Ray is still one of the better QBs perhaps second after AC. Its just he's had a shitty OL to deal with lately (in Edmonton last year) and judging solely by the preseason games, in Toronto as well.

But AC has been so consistent for so long, that its tough to top that. If AC retires in a few years, we don't know where the QBs will be in the league. Lulay might be the best then, but he might also have had his time. There might be someone else. We don't know yet.

Let Lulay put some numbers up and join their ranks first.

Even at 39, Calvillo is the best in the business.

2011 stats:

Calvillo: 5,251 yds (1st among QBs)
Lulay: 4,815 yds (2nd among QBs)

Calvillo: 32 TDs (tied for 1st)
Lulay: 32 TDs (tied for 1st)

Calvillo: 8 INTs (best among QBs)... and he actually had 3 of those 8 interceptions in a single game..
Lulay: 11 INTs (2nd best)

Calvillo: 98.2 QB rating (second in the CFL)
Lulay: 95.8 QB rating (third in the CFL)
