So the really long lake in what looked like a flat area tipped me off that it was in Saskatchewan, but I assumed it was a dammed lake. Apparently it is a natural lake (largest in Saskatchewan), a remnant from the last glaciation. Apparently the first bird sanctuary in North America is located on this lake as well.
