The Epitome of Nature within a City along a Mountain River
I took these pictures along a portion of the extensive Boise River Greenbelt which follows the river right through the center of the city. The pics were recently taken in and near downtown while I was out for a ride on my mountain bike.

If you look closely, you can see the top of the US Bank Tower:

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Wow. What a beautiful place. I could definitely get used to that. We have greenbelts and trails in the hills west of downtown, but none of it is quite that close to downtown, a few miles, but not quite that close. I seriously need to go hiking some more.
