What a great and very unusual angle. Piedmont Hospital looks huge (and I realize that's the Brookwood behind it)!

These last few shots show the increasing visual connection between Midtown and Downtown. It has changed a lot in the last few years.

Neat photo of downtown in 1941 from the History Center.

I wasn't around that long ago, but the S&W continued to be a thriving downtown luncheon spot well up into the late 1970s. Deelish.

To me, the people and environment in these pre-war pictures doesn't seem ancient, when in color.. Growing up with b&w stills and film, everything seem so old.

Deelish- good name for local, farm suppied eatery.

Can you imagine 5.5 million people lined up along the banks of that wispy little stream every day of the year?

You can almost wade across it, yet every one of them wants to have a few cool drinks, use the toilet, take a shower, water the lawn, etc.

What a precious and fragile resource we rely upon.

Atlanta Streets Alive

Here are a few shots from yesterday's Atlanta Streets Alive on Peachtree. Regrettably, I only made it through the Midtown section of the event. I had fun none the less!
