I also drove by this morning and it is still closed. Pretty sure it's for rent, but the sign on the window said Business for Sale. Which kind of struck me as kind of odd as there really isn't a business to be had.

I'm surprised that no one has opened a coffee shop in that spot. It's a perfect location as there's not a lot of competition in that neck of the woods.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Waves on 10th st is probably the closest place with half decent coffee.

A place with a half decent pour could probably earn a living just off of Rusty.

That place? That used to be a coffee/dessert shop but that folded. It wasn't event that good. We need more liveliness past 14th. Everything is dead in that endzone.

Went to The Living Room last night with some buddies. Pretty decent setup with great calamari.

Maybe not great as a general interest place, but a great walk up 17th after dinner while on a date place.

I am surprised Living Room has lasted this long without a name change. Glad it is still going.

Random but not surprising. My friends in China have informed me that the craft beer scene in China is really exploding. It's super chic in the world of traditional Pilsners and Lagers. Given the population something like this could be vastly successful. That Craft location in the Olympic Village in Vancouver is stunning. An amazing taproom surrounded by thousands of condos...#meatmarket

Definitely not surprising. With China's economy, it's definitely booming.

Carino Bistro is opening in Mission. I have no idea where - I'm wondering if it will be in 20/20?
This will be the third Japanese and first Japalian on 4th Street but still no Vietnamese or Thai.

Fourth. Towa, Kawa, Hana, and now Carino, though it's not really Japanese at all. There's a Thai place opening (is it open yet? I've been OOC since Sept 1) next to Purr so almost in Mission.

Thai Fusion Delight I believe, and it is open, haven't been in yet though.

What do you mean "near"? Where Diventa was? Where the fish and chips place was?

Diventa. Fish and Chips place is still looking for a tenant.

Not a franchise, but a jv. Craft needed to be able to maintain control of their "brand".

Excellent! Tiny space but a much nicer setting for dining than the other one.

JV? Sounds costly to manage across the continent. Unless you have a trustworthy local that gets assigned there...

Anything will be in improvement over Belgo. Now if we could only get rid of Ruths.

Kind of surprised that they're not calling the new place Barcelona Taberna.
