I never ran into that much when I had one, wonder if there is that much of a difference between the Nikon mount and the Canon one

Seems a little much - post processing for crazy effects?

Wonder if it's a panorama, with some edge straightening on the outer 1/3rd's.

Actually, this is one single shot with a little cropping and some small color tweaks, that's about it!

Simply point the camera further up towards the sky and the vertical subjects closer to the corners will get this distortion effect

A more extreme example using the same lens with the same technique, pay attention to the trees and especially that pole at the bottom left

I personally quite like this effect although still feel undecided whether I like this or not on a city skyline shot

I haven't tried other UWA lens, but if I'm not mistaken this is called perspective distortion and can't be controlled by using "better" lens?

Ah, that makes sense! I knew I was missing something there, just couldn't put my finger on it. I'll have to give that a try sometime with my lens!

I went out tonight for a little drive just so I could shoot this photo. Still trying to figure out how to get the damn camera to focus properly, and I've had it since January!

I wonder how a 300m supertall at the Oxford site would look from there?
