A little off topic, but the parking lot next to the U.S. Bank is begging for development. It looks about the same size, if not larger than the Boise Hole.

I can't say it enough, Main St. will be quite a dense little area for Boise standards. I excited to see what other kinds of development this project sparks downtown.

With the way the entire Boise area is booming, all the way to Nampa and Caldwell, I can totally see downtown Boise growing to anchor this metropolitan region as a more sizeable center. A bit down the line we could be looking at a downtown district on par with, say, Salt Lake City. Or at least, I can hope

i doubt that lot will ever be developed. it's too close to the u.s. bank building, and boiseans would probably rather see the grove expanded instead... perhaps by making that lot more green space.

but in all seriousness, the latest rumor is that it will indeed reach the 300' level, but for some reason the official sources are mum on the matter.

the same holds true for another development under construction in downtown boise... the lot is busy with heavy machinery, but final renderings have yet to be made public, which seems a tad odd.

The renderings inside of the gardner HQ under the eastman garage show a taller rendering then the one on the corner. They are the 16 story renderings I Believe.

Maybe they're waiting until their building permit is approved to give a final floor count? I'm starting to think the 16 floors reported in the deconstruction announcement was accurate. It's just strange that they ignore questions in social media regarding that. I've seen several people ask with no answer.

i agree... the location on 8th street really required the street level to be pedestrian friendly. 8th street has a ton of restaurants and bars, plus a few specialty stores.

the first two levels will include plenty of space for retail and restaurants. so far, we've heard that Ruths Chris is moving into the second level.

352' sounds like a huge jump for Boise, until you realize that the pole on top almost surely counts as part of the official height. This is why "official heights" can be so misleading. Unfortunately from the looks of it, that stick must add a solid 30-40' to this building. Still great news for Boise, just that I don't think the actual building part of this is going to be as tall as most of you might expect it to be...
