^ Both of those are really nice. Of the two, my favorite is the one of Florence, Italy.

OK, I am not a professional photographer by a long shot. As it turns out, my favorite so far, is from my Black and White series. This was taken last spring ('09), at the apartment complex where I live.

There is just something about the "mood" or "tone" of this Pic. Can't quite put my finger on it.

So there you have it, my best to date

Indeed that has a great mood about it. Love the shadow and light. Good stuff.

And I'm about as far from professional as one can get, so nobody's alone.

I bought my very first camera 6 years ago, and this was one of the first photos I ever took, having no prior experience with photography. It is sad to peak so early; it is still one my best ever.

photolitherland - Phenomenal shots. The steam rising from the cooling tower is haunting.

I concur. I'm guessing you used an infrared filter?

^Love the almost op-art feel it's giving me. But I want stories about the image too Ayreonaut.

Here's a recent one I shot, from a chemical plant near Sarnia, Ontario. For some reason I like the haziness and texture from the falling snow:

The Jasper photo is one of the most surreal photos I've ever seen. Just amazing.

I very much doubt that its there anymore, the glacier is retreating hardcore so that ice cave at the foot of the glacier most likely has melted completely by now. That was taken about 5 years ago. Its part of the Athabasca Glacier system I believe.
