I have heard an interesting piece of information about the tower crane at Horizon Place in Dieppe. A person who will be renting a unit at Horizon Place was on a tour of Horizon by the developer and the developer said the crane will then be heading to Riverview after it is done in Dieppe. Not sure if that means for storage or for another project. I'm not aware of anything going up in Riverview that would need the crane.

Wait a minute - does this mean that we could end up with three functioning tower cranes, including one each in all three metro Moncton communities at the same time????

- 55 Queen (Moncton)
- Apartment building on Dieppe Blvd (Dieppe)
- Wastewater Treatment Plant (Riverview)

That would be one for the record books!!

It’s about time they started on the upgrades to the sewage plant. Also it looks like it’s only half the regular height?

I would guess they need it more for the reach and less for the height. Able to move equipment/material from Point A to Point B without having to roll a truck over the between land. Or to roll it around a retaining pond or something.

Indeed, and this also explains the use of the tower crane for the new apartment complex on Dieppe Blvd too. It's only going to be five stories tall, but will have a large footprint.

Apparently the shipping container café promised for the riverfront trail in Riverview will be opening soon (in January of all times), and will be located near the Chocolate River Station.

The operator will be the Holy Whale Brewing Company out of Alma. They say they expect the winter season to be slow (no kidding ), but expect healthy sales next summer.......

From Celtic Knot Brewing's Facebook page on Feb 23rd:

The time has come. Celtic Knot Brewing is up sizing to a 3.75bbl brewery. I have a new space here in Riverview and hopefully within 2 months it will be up and running. Did I mention there will be growlers sold from said location?

https://www.facebook.com/CelticKnotB...SEARCH&fref=nf

I heard the location is close to the Byron Dobson arena on Biggs Drive.

His beer is good and the Moncton area is finally getting a taproom with a growler fill station. Tide and Boar does it once per month or so (with great success apparently) and Pump House is close to opening theirs as well. Gahan will have one in 55 Queen too, when that is complete. Things are looking up for sure!

Just wanted to respond to this, visited the new Celtic Knot for a growler fillup. Bruce has a variety of beers available for fillups and just this week has bottles for sale as well. He's a great guy and loves talking about his product. Definitely recommend! He says the new location is doing quite well. The growler fill market is completely wide open in the GMA at the moment so I'm not suprised..only the NBLC (mostly beers from Ontario and not local) and Tide and Boar are options besides him. Tide & Boar only has select events for fillups.

It's Holy Whale's sister company Buddha Bear Cafe that will be opening in the shipping container. I don't think Holy Whale will be selling their beer out of that location. According to their Facebook post, they hope to be able to sell it there eventually. I'm guessing there are ANBL licensing concerns.

Either way, their coffee is great. We visited their Alma location a couple of times over the summer. They didn't have their brewing operation up and running until fairly recently, but their tap selection of local craft beer was impressive when we were there.

The town of Riverview has apparently approved $180K for "decorative features" for the new replacement bridge for the causeway. Assuming Moncton matches this amount (and why wouldn't they), then the new bridge will have anodized black lighting and stamped concrete just like the Gunningsville Bridge.

Sounds like a good idea to me..........

Jessy's Pizza franchise is for sale in Riverview. Not sure if it's a new franchise, or the one that just opened not that long ago. But 80,000$ for a franchise + rent take over seems afordable.
