A little bit of Austin

A little random, too. Just two trips downtown recently over the last 7 days. One spent with a couple of forumers from Austin, and another from a trip to the library and a few photos after.

The parking lot in the foreground won't be there long. The same developer and architect who did the Frost Bank Tower are planning a 30-story office tower there.

~ Thanks for looking.

OMG! You took a picture of my avatar!

I love them Kevin. Especially that spot for the first picture. Just a great view. I can't wait until the boardwalk is done!

Oh, and there are a couple in there where it the Austonian looks like it lost power. lol. Like almost all the lights are out. It is kinda creepy looking. I don't even want to guess how late y'all were out and about. Or early in the morning? lol.

I left downtown around 1:30 I guess, but Jdawgboy stayed a little later. And yeah, I noticed that later. The Austonian does look dark.

Nice pictures... and I do want to add that the new Federal Courthouse doesn't look half as bad. Actually blends in well with the other buildings.

Awesome photos! Austin has developed so nicely of the past decade. I thought that first photo was a rendering at first! Great job

Great shots, Kevin!! It's been 12 years since I've been there last and they look like they're on a roll!! Especially with residential towers!!

Kansas City needs a couple of these..especially if there's not going to be any office towers anytime soon!!
