Big Ditch is opening their tap room in June. Rendering vs Reality is really close. It appears as though the framework for the signage is in place?

201 Ellicott RFP is out. They certainly don't push any design guidelines. 26 pages of nothing took months to put together?

According to the RFP, the City is “seeking proposals for a full line grocery store and a mixed-use development project that includes a significant residential element (with a possibility for condominiums), commercial elements and a required parking ramp. A proposed office use will only be considered if it results in new jobs for downtown or a type of office space not currently available in the downtown market.”

Greenleaf & Company is proposing an apartment development catering to Buffalo State students. The privately financed project would begin with 75 apartments – primarily three- and four-bedroom units – in two five-story buildings that would open in September 2016 for the fall semester. Retail would be on the first floor. It would occupy the east side of Grant Street between Rockwell Road and Bradley Street.

The entire project calls for 750 beds in 200 apartments in five buildings over five years.

the rfp for the 200 block of Ellicott street is due out soon.
I am interested to see what comes of it.
it could promise to be downtown's next large building project and perhaps extend the skyline eastward.

I'd be shocked if anything is proposed over 8 stories

I don't know why my images keep disappearing- something is going on with the BRO hosting site.

No, because it's been stale since 2008. Some of us in Buffalo hope that with the surrounding area's resurgence, this tower will be proposed again by Uniland Development. There was recently a stale proposal from around 2007-09 called "Queen City Landing" which was resurrected by the same developer, and he looks to get it approved in the coming weeks.

ECC is proposing to lease all of the Gutman Building at Swan/Elm to move some programs to make room for an expanded nursing department. The concept/plan was presented to the ECC Board yesterday.

I noticed we haven't seen any progress posts with photos of late. I see the two tower cranes down at the medical corridor end and I get excited every time I see a new floor on the new Childrens Hospital, even though I know it's only slated to be something like 13 floors with some artsy thing on top extending it a bit. So I decided to grab a few ' on-the-fly' pics with my Iphone since I work downtown, so please forgive the quality.

Here is the other adjacent medical building which is actuqally a much lagrger building given it's huge footprint and lesser floors.
