I don't think temps alone in the 90s will stop the steel from being placed.

how do cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Riadh, Jeddah, Delhi....manage to construct with temps around 45C every day?

Maybe the performing arts center or the transportation hub will be named "WTC 6". Just my guess.

It depends. They might rename the Performing Arts Center into WTC Building 6, but it's uncertain.

I doubt it would be the hub. Even the last World Trade Center didn't have a building name for it's hub.

Yeah I agree, but the PAC should certainly be 6 World Trade Center...it just wouldn't make sense if they didn't have one.
By the way, whats been going on with there being no new steel lately? If they're trying to top this off in the next couple of weeks they need to hussle.

It's 73 out here in Orange County... Comfortable. Not typical for summer in SoCal.

Are 2, 3, and 4 officially named WTC? I thought those are nicknames more than anything else and that the Greenwich addresses were official.

WTC = name
Greenwich = street adress

it's like saying the White House is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Word has came that 4 World Trade Center will top out next Monday.

It's also said that Tower 1 will top out Tuesday or Wednesday,but i doubt it.
Especially since it's ceremony is scheduled for July 4.

I agree with you. I seriously doubt that Tower 1 will top out next week. Maybe Tower 4, but not Tower 1.

I found an article on the topic, but it only explains the toping off of 4 WTC. Not 1 WTC.

NEW YORK — The final steel beam is going up at Four World Trade Center.

June 21, 2012

Developer Larry Silverstein is expected to join construction workers at a ceremony on Monday to mark the milestone for the building at the corner of Liberty and Greenwich streets.

A group of workers are scheduled to sign the beam before it is hoisted to the top of 4 WTC.

Silverstein's company also owns the already completed Seven World Trade Center.

At the anchor building of the site, One World Trade Center, steel has been erected to the 104th floor.

I thought 4 WTC's parapet was two floors and they started with the first floor.
