The steel trucks are typically parked along the south and east sides of the tower. Im not sure how long they are though.

Question Here you go!

It takes much longer now than when the building was shorter because, the floors being built, as of now, are mechanical floors so they tend to take 3 weeks or more as I've seen for all of 2012 so far. Also in the PA's twitter pics this week show theses unusual thick, slanted columns that were in place on the 93rd floor deck, maybe some mechanical system or the anchors for the antenna because in a diagram i remember seeing recently, the spire goes down past the parapet into the building itself. Basically theses next few weeks of steel installation maybe slower than usual.

Thanks Carlos! I figured if they were starting curtain wall installation today that is where they would start. Back in business!

I'm sure this is a dumb question for regulars on this thread, but is the tower taller than ESB yet? It looks huge already and still quite a way to go!

Not yet, but the next jump of steel should settle it.

Nearly everything I've learned in order to build this model has come from following the Skyscraperpage WTC threads over the years. You guys rock. Big Thanks.

Probably should keep this thread focused on the actual 1WTC construction, but feel free to hop on over to the SSP's LEGO Skylines Thread to comment further.

It's amazing how well the WTC complex complements each other and its surroundings, while still each building having its unique features.Like for example,I'm sure many people will love 2WTC while others may think 4WTC isn't as great and vise versa for someone else, but I'm sure 1WTC will be loved by everyone.

Man, Carlos. You get to see history in the making from your window daily. SO ENVIOUS. Ahhhhhh! I know I don't need to say it... But I want to anyway. Treasure each and every one of these pictures that you take. I would totally put together a photo album of 1 WTC construction - maybe not use every single picture, but close. That would be too freaking cool.

So nice to see that gap in glass going up, it will be nice to see it start catching up to the steel now.

If the zoom was the same often enough, then you could make a great flip book!
