I love all bridges, but the four that stand out the most (for a variety of reasons) are, in order:
1. Pont de Quebec
2. Confederation Bridge (PEI-NB)
3. Jacques Cartier Bridge
4. Lion's Gate Bridge

It doesn't cross a huge body of water but it's historic and I think it's pretty! Here is the Centre Street Bridge in Calgary:

The Royal Columbian Hospital, to be precise (where the view is pretty much the same), but I simply meant New Westminster.

No mention of the Patello Bridge??? lol

And as for The Lions Gate Bridge, it was great at a time when it could accomodate the commuters from North Van. Now however, I'm sure no one would mind seeing it go.

Jacknife Bascule Bridge, from 1913 to 2002 the only way to access the Kam Delta Islands. Vehicular traffic now uses a larger bridge near the waterfront, this one is for rail traffic only. The road deck was dismantled in 2004. It is one of the largest bascule bridges in the world.

James Street Swing Bridge, one of the oldest in the city.

Black Bay Bridge, built in 1913, the longest reinforced concrete bridge in the world. (Or so the city claims. It was the longest when built, I don't know if a longer one has been built.)

Canada's longest suspension footbridge. 600 feet long, 150 feet to the floor of Eagle Canyon. Located northeast of Thunder Bay.

Island Drive Bridge, which has connected the Kam Delta Islands to Thunder Bay since 2002. It is the longest integral abutment bridge in Canada.

excuse me? you'd tear down a Vancouver landmark? a part of our history? hell, for that matter, you'd get rid of one of two links to the North Shore? are you f**king kidding me?

someone here has never been to North or West Vancouver in his life if this is how he thinks.
