Run-down downtown neighborhoods are actually pretty typical the further you move away from the water. Here's a specific area of Cookstown Road I've been told turns raw after dark.
I had mentioned the New Penneywell area previously. The city actually does well in keeping up it's public housing developments, but this area is in serious neglect.
This cul-de-sac may be the saddest in town. It's completely neglected, falling apart, presumably unlivable. It's also situated in the heart of what most would consider the roughest neighborhood in town. These kinds of conditions never lead to anything positive.
