My trades are up 25% in 9 days - now I'm kicking myself I didn't put in more money. But that's being greedy!

I can see now why my buddy is always talking about quitting his 100k job. lol!

EDIT: I wish I could tell you guys my trades, but I've been sworn to secrecy.

On my own personal trades, I'm getting some cash ready to buy Bank of Nova Scotia Stock when it hits about 58 bux.
(I'm just gonna accumulate on bank stocks with profits from my other trades)

Best lesson to learn is to take profits. Pocket that 25% gain and reload on something else.

Do any of you dollar-cost-average when investing?

I'm trying to get my commissions below 10 bucks. I do dollar cost average on my larger investments.

This play I just did one trade in and one trade out.

Wow! How low can oil prices go?.. there has to be a way to take advantage of this to make some major league money.

I'm thinking about using an inverse bear play on NYSE

...Iranian oil must be already priced into the market, because this is crazy.

The Fed raised interest rates.

Looking for a moderate-term commodity play to profit on next month or so...

Billionaire financier George Soros is warning of an impending financial markets crisis as investors around the world were roiled by turmoil in China trade for the second time this week.

Speaking at an economic forum in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, he told an audience that China is struggling to find a new growth model and its currency devaluation is transferring problems to the rest of the world, according to media. He added that a return to rising interest rates was proving difficult for the developing world.

I've got my eye on DWTI, it's tripled in the last 2 months, if you have a float (money you are prepared to lose) of 10K to 50k you might have made a killing had you got in around the beginning of November. It's very risky, and the expiring calls kill value, but you can do it as a day trade, or swing trade. People are making money. I'm in a reverse commodity ETF and I'm up 20% in the past 2 days.

TSX down 3%, oil below 30$ and CAD now trading below 0.69 USD.

News are bad elsewhere as well fueled by China's struggling market.

My US stocks are holding up ok, mainly due to the low CAD.

I've been watching Encana for a while now, currently trading at $3.68, falling fro a 52 week high of $14.73, and s 2 year high of almost $24

It'll be a matter of timing, but if it drops down into the $2 range it might be worth picking up some shares

My core assets, financials and mutual funds are getting pounded. But my swing/postion trades in leveraged ETFs playing the market have been more successful.

Just had a meeting today at work, and they announced a special one time bonus, I'm trying to figure out if its better to add to core holdings or use as trading capital/float.

All stock markets are going down. I don't think I saw a single "green" index today on my Bloomberg app. The TSX YTD return is now at -7.75%.

Thank you Alberta, made 1,000 dollars today on the bank stocks!! yeah!!

Party this weekend at my house!! lol!

Good thing I didn't sell last week, when I was up a little bit, I've made much more over the past two days, than if I had taken small profits..

Thank you Alberta?

As an "active trader" you really should take a closer look at Alberta.

The Canadian bank stocks are up an average of ~5% over the last two days and maybe 6.5% in the last 9 days...

Many large cap Canadian O&G stocks are up 15 - 25% over the same period. Had you invested there, you could've instead made $3 - 5,000.
