I don't think it's all that slow given that it's a really compact site that is pretty deep, due to the two-level underground component.

For a site that's been active for only about five months, it's a bit quicker than expected from my perspective.

It is compact, ill give you that, buts its not that tall.

But what do i know, ive only begun to follow construction projects since last year, so my experience and knowledge is naive.

From experience in the construction industry, it takes time for a structure to come out of the hole. Once above grade, minus any stringent seimic requirements, structures tend to rise quick - from the ones have been on.

I was at the ground breaking ceremony a long time ago and they said it was going to be 19 stories, has it changed back to the original plans again?

We havent even seen a good rendering yet, and this thing is almost on ground floor! But, if it looks anything like that hand-drawn(?) image, i'll be pleased. Quality over quantity, please! I'd rather get this 200 footer than a 500 ft box.

I'd definitely agree with that. For me, the deal breaker is going to be the cladding. If it looks cheap, this building could turn out pretty terrible, and with such a prominent location, I'm hoping they make the right call.

Plus, height wont really be a big deal there. If it's a little short, that's fine. We'll just have some other buildings behind it going taller to get a view of the park.

I looked everywhere on the internet and even the developer of this project had no info on this building, strange, and emporis only had that it was under construction but had 22 floors, so guessing that each floor will be roughly 13 ft, it should be around 290 ft.

Hotels and residential structures tend to have less than 13 ft per floor - minus any roof top structure.

Well it should be a nice height, but i do wish there was a better rendering out. I guess we will wait and see...

But i do hope the will keep the spire. I like it...

Makes sense, luckily, this hotel has a roof top structure AND a (mini)spire.

Construction looks slow, but it should pick up when it reaches ground level.

This is my first post BTW, looking foward to watching this project. The less parking lots, the better.

You picked just the right time to join and watch this project go up, since it will soon reach ground level.
