Tough loss for the Oil, but L.A. was out to even things up from minute 1.

A substantive and convincing win by the Oilers and more importantly Mr. Skinner.

Great to see more of the team getting involved and 'into it'.

The top Leafs look like they are falling apart. Time to rally, not cry in the schoolyard.

FIRE Shanahan AND Treliving AND Keefe.

MLSE seriously has to blow this whole team up.

Players and management.

Ya need to Clean House. Fire the whole management team.

Just a ridiculous performance by the Leafs at home, fans booing.

Matthews was tossed not because of sickness but cause he is now a Distraction to the whole team.

Players fighting amongst themselves on the bench ?

What the hell sort of train wreck is this ?

Taking stupid penalties.

Losing 6 Home playoff games in a row can't be allowed to stand.

The history of the Leafs, especially since the beginning of the Ballard days, is littered with dumb or questionable decision making. Moreso than most franchises in sports. Promoting Dubas early to replace Lou and keeping Keefe for two years too long are two obvious examples.

I'm fairly sure that if you were to let a group of vetted fans (so no idiots or bots) collectively make decisions by vote over the next five years, the Leafs couldn't do any worse.

Man Colorado seems to be able to take it to another level in the playoffs (despite their goaltending).
I remember when the Flames won the division in 2019 and played the Avs in the first round who they had handled all season. But in the playoffs all the Flames could do is eventually get the puck and flip it out of their zone and change their exhausted players while the Avs retrieved the puck and came at them in another wave.
Rinse & repeat from the second game on.
I’m getting dejavu watching this series with the Jets.

Maybe the weirdest Oilers game ever?

That said, Oilers WIN, Oilers WIN!

One of the biggest comebacks in NHL history for the Canucks, after looking tired for about 57 minutes. 2 empty net goals to tie and a winner 1 minute into OT. Nashville fell apart.

Hope some Jets players watched those highlights.

I wasn't sure how Florida would look in this year's playoffs, after the league leading Panthers were blown out by Tampa in 2022, followed by the barely making the playoffs Panthers going to the cup in 2023.

There aren't any major surprises this year, the series are what they should look like on paper. The only surprise maybe is the Jets, who I thought would do better, but they are also facing a team with lots of playoff experience. I also thought the Leafs might do better, but they're also facing a team that finished in first place two years in a row.

Here's hoping that we see a complete game tonight from the Oil. Let's finish this and move on to bigger things.

GO OILERS GO!

Congratulations to the Oilers. At least one Canadian team on to the second round!
