What camera do you use Old Town Resident and Imre? And how many mega-pixles does it have?

I wish that less pictures were shown!! Not all people have fast internet! If somebody could at least please try to provide some details about the tower then maybe there will be something to talk about other than just saying" great shots" or "wow that thing is huge."

Maybe try to talk about problems on the tower, things that are good. FACTS!

On the discovery channel they said this tower is only going to have 1 ballroom. Is this true? Because I don't think all the snauty rich girls that turn 16 are going to get their party in the Burl Dubai because there's only 1 ballroom.

Regarding the ballroom, I think one is enough.
First of all, the ballroom will be in the Armani Hotel. That makes sense. But would it make sense to put a ballroom in the residential area, in the office area, on the observation deck, or at the commercial areas on the bottom? No.
And the Armani Hotel, I believe will be a top-class hotel. Usually, the top of the top do not have a lot of ballrooms/public party places. The cheaper the hotel gets (while still being fairly wealthy) the number of ballrooms/banquet halls goes up.

I must add this disclaimer: I know nothing about hotels and I am just saying this from what I would think would be true.

And also, I am sure there are a lot of other places in Dubai for people to go, or at least there will be in the future.

now, I'm not going to say lightning wont strike the sides more often than the top, as I wasn't the one that researched the local weather patterns... but I will say that the design is accounting for conditions outside what i would consider normal for tropical regions (from an aviation perspective).
There is no pattern for that, it all depend from the place. Thunderstorm clouds in Dubai are usually low and it is common to have fog in the morning that is no higher then 50 - 100 meters from the ground.

Are you kidding? That's like a small, SMALL house!! Compare this to the H.K.F.C. this thing is small in square footage. I know it has to do with the design but 850 ft. is good for one person. Maybe two but most likely one.

I really like the pictures you posted AltinD. Specially the first one.
