Namangan city

Namangan is a city in Uzbekistan. It is the administrative, economic, and cultural center of Namangan Province. Namangan is located in the northern edge of the Fergana Valley in north-eastern Uzbekistan. The city is served by Namangan Airport.

wow thanks -- i was very interested in seeing urgench -- i only knew it as a stopover on the way to khiva, but it looks nice. the sharp modern airport is making me consider flying in to urgench from tashkent and maybe taking the train back to bukhara>samarkand>tashkent, rather than taking the train both ways.

Very cool pictures! I always like looking at pics of cities from the former Soviet bloc. I would definitely like to visit these places someday.

charvak and beldersay, both resort areas are within easy reach of tashkent. i thought about a side trip to charvak. very nice to see them!

Yes, you are right. Charvak and Beldersay are situated in 100 km from Tashkent. This is not far.
