Vancouver transit in film, television, and music videos

I thought it would be neat to have a thread with Vancouver transit on film, television, and music videos.

Someone posted this before, local rapper Snak the Ripper's 8 Hours a Day on Skytrain

Recent or notable?

Currently running: "The Flash" has had several sequences where the Skytrain is visible.

Notable for use:
Paycheck has the Skytrain featured in the trailer and the cover of some European releases, even though that's actually a set (for obvious reasons.)
http://buzzer.translink.ca/2009/05/t...film-paycheck/
There's also a lengthy segment at Burrard station and an actual Skytrain goes by. It's also notable for having "The Buzzer" in the bus scene as well. More than one bus appears in the film (The interior and exterior are different buses.)

I have a -lot- of films on DVD that were filmed partially or entirely in the Vancouver area.

It's harder to find films or tv series that actually use Vancouver as Vancouver. The oldest one I have is "Shoot To Kill" which is 1988
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096098/ , and it has two of the BC Ferries in it.

(The Never Ending Story is older(1984), and never actually references where it takes place, but you can see a bus in GasTown. Part II goes back to Gastown, Part III goes to Metrotown mall.)

Other Notables: X-files has the Skytrain in the background while they filmed outside the Library with the episode that takes place entirely at one of the Metrotower's (It's the one where the smart building starts killing people in it.)

Waterfront station gets used quite a bit. So does Pacific Central Station. Pretty much every time you see a heavy rail train in a production filmed in Vancouver, it's filmed inside the West Coast Express

"The Trial of the Incredible Hulk" has a very long segment on a MK I train from Burrard Station. Car number 048 (Spirit of Chase) inside. Oddly though, they film entering and exiting the same station. Two different train cars are used. 016, 048/047 are used depending on what you see.

This is terrible quality video but Jessica Biel fighting vampires at the WCE Waterfront station in Blade Trinity came to mind

Video Link

Also not quite transit but maybe it should be? Jackie Chan in Rumble in the Bronx riding a hovercraft all over, from under Ironworkers bridge to right along Pacific Blvd and various other downtown streets and waterways. You don't see practical effects like this anymore.

I saw this live in the theatre when it was new but don't remember it being this awesome. My faulty memory thought it was the seabus but no, it's an actual hovercraft.

Spotted this on the most recent episode of Supergirl (Season 3: Crossfire)

The Skytrain logo on the MK I is clearly visible, as well as the Translink Logo on a 4-car set.

I think the car numbers are 133/134 but it's not clear enough due to the fence. This is underneath waterfront station IIRC.

Arrow, Season 5, Episode 6 "So It Begins"

This is the Skytrain tracks at 5952 Beresford at Buller in Burnaby. That is (obviously) a CG subway car set. It is not the skytrain but would be confused for it since it's the same scale as the MK I.

The minutes leading to this scene use an actual subway car set since they blow a hole in it.

First, this was posted to reddit

There is a segment on the Skytrain in a K-pop group video

TWICE(트와이스) "LIKEY" M/V

Video Link

Second, The Skytrain has appeared as background dressing on Once Upon A Time's current season, at New West station.

The same location is also used in a 2016 Lifetime television film called "Not With His Wife" (aka "Undercover Wife") which happened to be on the same week .
