Scotia Plaza was way ahead of its time. You would think it was completed around 1989 but, it was really completed in 1936.

Spectacular. Let's hope the residents dont lobby to turn off the lighting feature.

Aura's lighting looks very odd but awesome at the same time. I can't help but like it.

They're really going full-steam with the tower section of Brookfield Place. They've already poured most of the 4th floor now. On the plaza section, they are part way through the 3rd floor, and in they are still removing the ramp which will be the galleria section. Though they have the first column forms up in the souther part of that section as well.

For those not as in tune with the project, that's P4 they've poured. The tower core has yet to reach grade.

I was thinking that – I was saying to myself how can they be on the 4th floor already when you can still see the shoring/caisson wall

Sorry, yes. I figured it was obvious that I meant the parking, as there is no section of the building within even 10 meters of ground level yet, and I and others have been doing weekly updates of the building on this very thread.

So the second suspended slab over grade or level d has been poured? Actually the tower's footprint only has 5 underground levels so the first full floor suspended slab has started.

Thanks for the update Chad. Nice work by Shylo. Putting this one next to the previous shot so you can see the difference two weeks makes.

I like Aura. What a difference in the view since I was there 3 or 4 years ago.

Most of the "haters" over at Urban Toronto have actually come around and don't despise it nearly as much as they thought they would when it was initially going up.

Aura makes a massive impact on the skyline looking towards the downtown area from Pearson airport. It is very prominent on the skyline. I like the addition it has made. The lower portion could have been better, but from a distance that isn't noticeable. And the top looks great to me.

Aura definitely looks great from Pearson, it's from Yonge and Gerrard that it starts to run into trouble...

Yonge and Gerrard isn't that bad, at least the new building is setback a bit to give an extra wide Yonge Street sidewalk on the west flank..

That's not even close to being true.
