Review

Pros:

Good podium (great street wall effect).
Decent materials.
Good balance of office and residential. Relocation of Aimia head office to downtown.

Cons:

Tower portion is too short, especially in relation to the huge podium. Tower portion could use another 10-15 floors.
Glass box style already a bit out of date.
Awkward roof/Aimia sign integration

Conclusion:
Altoria is a stellar addition to Victoria Square, and a marked improvement over its predecessor in the same location. It provides a new focal point to McGill Street, although it could have used a taller, bolder design.
