Agreed. I have many relatives throughout New England and they have been asking our family how the tower is coming along...as for it being seen, it's been viewed from as far as 45 miles as of right now and possibly farther. You can see that from the pictures I just took yesterday on the previous pages

I have heard that the NYC skyline can be seen from some of the higher mountains in the Newburgh-beacon area.

I took these on Wednesday/Thursday of this week from my visit on the 53rd floor of the Millennium Hilton, i have more photos from ground level that i will post at a later time...

**** Does anyone know how to stitch photos together (like a panorama kind of thing vertically).. because i want to put some photos together so i can get the whole tower in the frame, because this thing was WAY too huge to capture in a single shot, and i want to make a large vertical shot of it... do you use photoshop/a website???

*also, this was my first time taking night photos with a tripod with a point-and-shoot, if anyone has any tips on taking these kinds of photos please pm me

Does anyone have any details on the beacon of light that will be at the spire on top of the tower? Will it be a vertical beam projected up into the sky (sort of like the tribute of light) or a horizontal beam like a lighthouse? Will there even be a beam of light at all?

I think it's a really cool idea to have a bright beam of light shown from that building, it would be a beacon seen from miles around, so people all around will always know where New York is.

It's easy to find out how many elders, immagrants, children and homeless people reside in New York City. That's just an easy trip to census.gov. However, how did you come up with the fact that none of these groups have any clue of something that is plainly obvious? (its a supertall in lower Manhattan, for crying out loud!) Your ignorant assumptions implies that these groups are incompetent, which is, as I said before, an ignorant observation. Come back when you have solid information to back you up, and not just predictions drawn by population compositions.

-Facade installation is now above floor 66
-Concrete is now being installed above floor 85
-Installation of the 400-foot-tall antenna in spring 2012.
-Spray-on fireproofing underway
-Elevator shaft fit-out
-Multiple cranes on site for steel and concrete installation
-Both the south and north cores are now being erected as the structure rises

Doesn't matter if I joined yesterday or 4 years ago, what matters is you have enraged people because your basing your assumptions on immigrants, the very people who made the Empire State Building possible.Whatever,I'm going to move on and next time I'm going to be wise enough to not reply back.

How is the work going on the 1WTC Carlos? Also, isn't completion still on schedule and slated to be TO by April(Roof portion)?
