For your information, I lived in Manhattan (not "Manahattan") for more than three years and been all over the world. In my statements I emphasized the word MINI. The dictionary definition of mini is "anything of small, reduced, or miniature size". As for your comment that "it only reinforces the stereotype that people in Miami are stupid and only obsessed with status" only shows how stupid you are by making unfounded generalizations. Finally, it's my opinion that Miami is turning into a MINI MANHATTAN and I have the right to express myself.

^ well, since you lived there and “have been all over the world” (wow!), then you should understand how obviously dissimilar downtown Miami and Manahatta are.

Miami is not turning in to a mini Manhattan, Manhattan is more about the street life and urbanity than the high rises. Miami is missing that. If anything, Miami is turning in to a condensed Sao Paulo.

Dude it is Manhattan, not "Manahatta or Manahattan."

Manhattan and skyscrapers are synonymous. That's the part I was referring to when I said Miami was turning into a MINI Manhattan. Of course Miami at this time is missing the "street life and urbanity" of Manhattan and it has a long way to go. However, around the Brickell and Edgewater and Midtown districts of Miami you see tons of people walking, in sidewalk cafes, shopping, etc.

Not until the Miami thread begins to exhibit the higher level of intelligent exchange it deserves.

Inane comments along the lines of... "OMG, Miami is just like Chicago now!" or "3rd largest skyline... Miami is Manhattan south!"... will continue to be called out and ridiculed.

Miami has the 3rd largest skyline in the U.S. like it or not and getting larger by the minute. That is not an inane comment. It is a reality. With One Brickell City Center, One Bayfront Plaza, 300 Biscayne, the Foster Towers Miami will become Manhattan south.

Four towers don't make a city.
