Looking forward to it. I was home during the summer, but was only in Charlottetown on Canada Day and it was raining so didn't get any pics.

Here are a few which I can pass along:

- Reliable Motors is nearing completion. The building is enclosed and the pavement will soon be going in place.

- Holland College's new residence is underway. The buildings have been torn down and a site cleanup underway.

- A site for the new firehall has been selected. The lot is located between the CAT dealer and Moores Well Drilling on the Malpeque Rd. Rear access from Sherwood Rd will be added.

- The development behind the Charlottetown Mall is in full swing. A new 4 floor, 64 unit apartment complex will part of the development which is soon to be started.

- Taylor developers have started the three floor condos on Allen St. The building framing is up and the roof is next.

- The Habbie four floor apartments on the corner of Burns and North River Rd is up with the exterior and interior work is underway.

- Site work is near complete for the new six floor Hampton Inn on Capital Dr. The building is to start soon after.

- Charlottetown Airport now has two 7000 ft runways with the second runways addition completed recently.

There other developments under way before council. They will be listed later once we have more info.

I'll try to provide pictures in the near future on the above mentioned.
Additionally, Capital Honda's expansion is nearing completion on Lwr Malpeque Rd. Paving is underway and exterior/interior work continues.

I remember when I was there, the Sobeys Extra in Stratford had opened, would be nice to see a picture of that too if someone gets a chance.

Nice looking apartments. Better looking than those shingled roofed uglies we see around S'side and Ch'town.

I agree, I think this is probably one of the nicest and more modern apartment in Summerside, it is owned by Doug Maclean, just like the majority of the new buildings on Mckenzie dr.

This is an original site plan from Trinity that I’ve posted here before. This was probably close to 20 years old as it had a location for Walmart at the bottom.

This is an further updated APM site plan that I’ve also posted before.

The reason I’m posting them again is because Sears is closing. Would it be possible for Costco to buy that building, and use the building frame as a base to build their store.

Here is another site that Dollarama & PEILC are building new stores attached to Superstore in Montague

Yes, the hotel, its been underway since the first of Dec. This pic is a little old as the re-bar is now covered in plastic to protect it for the next phase. I suspect they may be waiting for a crane to arrive.
One thing about this project, I thought it might be closer to the roundabout but is on the far eastern end of the lot. As you can see the residences in the back were none too pleased having the whole thing in their view.
At the other end of that lot there is a proposed gas bar and something else that I can't quite remember what. Soon this large lot will be a busy traffic area. A concern made by the locals.

I came across the on the CADC site which surprised me.

The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council (APEC) confirms the centralization of job growth in Prince Edward Island with job creation results from 2008 – 2015. The numbers indicate that in that time span 3,900 jobs were created in Charlottetown, while 300 jobs were created in the rest of the entire province. Both jobs and population growth continue to indicate that Charlottetown is a proven location for investment.

GOWER STREET

Looks like this project is on the approval list. 53 Gower Street:

Minor variances: avg front yard setback, rear yard setback, building height to
permit the construction of a 32-unit apartment building.

I’m not sure if this was ever posted, it’s the new Chrysler dealership in Charlottetown.
