SAADE International|?m|20+?fl|Proposed

Looks like we have another hotel project on the horizon. It seems to be a new Hotel/Resort planned for this location on Walkley & Russell rd at the south west corner. Seems to be an odd location to me. Looks to be about 20+ floors by looking at the rendering. Below is the link...

http://saadeinternationalcentre.com/Home.html

They seem to have some misinformation on the location as it states it is located in "historic downtown Ottawa" and is walking distance to fabulous restaurants and shopping. But i guess to some people Giant Tiger is Fabulous shopping and Tim Hortons is fabulous dining.

I'n not sure on any timelines or the current status as i just learned about this today. When i know more, i will share.

'Comming' soon, eh? Not even a shovel in the ground and they've already got the room rates listed.

Looks like a little project of a 1st year business student.

I'll be over there in the corner holding my breath for this one.

2740 Walkley Road eh? Interesting location. Seems to me it will provide a nice view of the 417 on one side and the industrial yards to the other. Maybe its a typo? It seems hard to believe that they could say "downtown" or walking distance to anything in there discription based on the location they provide.

Cheers,
Josh

It has to be a joke...where is Elm Street Park and the reference to Joe's coffee shop should be a clue. The address may be on Walkley for the company behind it all but there is no direct reference to that being the address of the hotel.

I looked up the phone number and got the
Saadé Inn International Bar & Grill at 5023 Bank (and Rideau)
http://www.yellowpages.ca/bus/Ontari...l/6226758.html

aka Swiss Airport Inn Motel

http://www.yellowpages.ca/bus/Ontari...l/4483999.html

Same address (5023 Bank) as Cabaret Canada if that stills exists

Thanks, i was trying to figure out where i have recently saw another Saade sign.

And yes, cabaret Canada is still there, but i believe it is now called New Diamond.

I must agree with everyone that this does seem just a bit odd. Maybe i should have posted under Rumours.

Sorry

But i still don't understand why they built & posted a sign on the corner of Walkley & Russell. Maybe he has a wee bit of extra time on his hands.

looks like nothing more than a half ass attempt to raise money for some pump and dump scheme that a strip club owner has going.

SAADE International also had a Gas Station down the road from his exotic dance club. That gas station pumped about as much BS as there is in the website he posted about room rates.
That gas station now has a car lot on it. Used cars. Like I mean it. There is a gas station with the PUMPS still sitting there and cars parked all around it. No gas being sold.

When I saw the sign for SAADE international centre at an intersection in Ottawa that has the following on four corners:
Government Low Income Housing.
Government LOW INCOME HOUSING.
A small area where the sign is located that wedges itself next to Giant Tiger
and a Brigde that leads out of an Industrial area. Oh that also includes a prison for Youth.
It is also a stone throw away from the sewage collector at Greens Creek.

What a joke.

A real funny joke.

A website with stock photos and a hotel in San Fran?
The sign is better. Some douche Photoshopped the SAADE logo onto the top few windows of the building. Like IT HAS BEEN DESIGNED ALREADY.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA

This is gotta be the funniest thing ever. I get home. I googled the SAADE international center and this Forum came up on google FIRST!!!!!

One reason the wording is strange is because they used a "website tonight!" template and just added stuff about Ottawa without changing the text too much. google "perfect destination for travelers looking for relaxation and comfort, or travelers looking for adventure" and you can see all the other "website tonight!" sites using the exact same wording.

Welcome to the forum kaufman75!

I drove by this location recently and saw the sign. It's a really big/nice sign that looks as though they are actually going to build that there.

If this whole thing is fake, why would someone go to all the trouble to erect such a detailed sign and mislead everyone into thinking it was actually going to be built?

Contact email address is at Live.com which is old name for Microsoft search engine now called Bing. I am surprised he didn't use Yahoo or Gmail.
I can almost guaranty we are never going to see Saade International Hotel there.

Not quite Hotel California, but this thing reminds me of lyrics from another Eagles song:

"Some of their dreams came true,
Some just passed away
And some of them stayed behind
Inside the sad cafe."
