July 31st,

The second part of the project - the smaller tower that will house the W Hotel - has started rising as well (to the right). It is expected to be completed at the same time as the HSBC's tower (left).

This tower adds even more density to the skyline. Shanghai should host the next summer Olympics. This place looks amazing.

Fabb,
As soon as the HSBC Tower (ie. the first tower) is topped out. Meanwhile, the "third" lower building hosting the W Hotel has started rising above ground.

Why couldn't construction have started on all 3 towers simultanesouly?

It must have something to do with worker distribution (aparently they don't have a seemingly unlimited work force in these towers ) - the same workers who did the "hard work" on Tower A will go on to Tower B and do the hard work there I guess? How does it generally work in the US for example?
