Hehe, some members must be a little confused when they visit this thread, and see that there are already 81 pages dedicated to this tower-----but work has only recently begun on the foundations!

The last thing we need gracing the skyline is another tower looking like The Mark.

I hope the color of glass would be somewhat similar to Shangri-La. I know it is also a slightly greenish color, but despite that I find Shangri-La looking good from every direction at any time of the day.

Can't wait for proper renders of this building to be introduced...

Does anyone have a decent guess of when this thing will reach ground level? Maybe February or March? I'm not good with this kinda stuff.

Maybe they will actually build it this time..

Unless they just cap it at ground level.

seriously, when it is finished, especially if done in the original silvery colour, it will be a magnificent and inspirational addition to downtown.

The glass could "make it", but it won't "break it".

That being said, with what I've heard they're trying to achieve as an average price per square foot, I would be shocked if it wasn't capped after a couple floors of commercial & parking structure.

Do you mean "capped" as in vastly reducing the height to near zero, or doing the upper floors in a different glass, or what? Capping it to a low-level commercial & parking structure would be an aesthetic crime, as well as a huge loss for the COV.

As opposed to an empty hole in the ground?
