I like the crown, but i'm not a fan of the building itself

You too eh? I think it's the boxy set backs, they aren't staggered like regular art deco. This reminds me of a 90s fantasy novel cover actually.

I think that it's nice, somewhat Dubai-esque, but with a typical Chinese bulk. It looks better from above... too bad it's not meant to be seen from that angle.

I think this is the final design. Some of these Chinese towers have a dozen designs proposed before a final one is selected.
