Updated photos for Union Square 6 & 7

Phase 6 North Tower

Phase 6 South Tower

Phase 6 South Tower

Phase 7 Cofferdam ,Foundation is completed, ready to raise.

The stuffs in the site.

Digging at the northeast side.

A moving machine..

The site of Phase 7 is not busy at the moment ,i guess the podium will be constructed first instead of the tower.
The site of both Phase 6 north & south tower is much more busier, machine digging and moving around.

HOORAY!!! It's ready to rise at last! I'm really looking forward to seeing US7 go up, it will be so exciting.

It's a pity though, how much of Union Square seems to be just ugly concrete towers. If they aren't maintained properly they will be a real eye-sore in a few years time. Hasn't Hong Kong learned anything from the past?

The Harbourside is already a welcome departure from your typical Hong Kong get-grimy-in-a-few-years concrete apartment building. The Sorrento also looks like it'll hold up fairly well, but the Waterfront (the first to be completed), I don't know. Hong Kong does need some other materials for building exteriors. How about plastic, so all the buildings turn black with soot within a week?

Thanks Aboveday

Is that 451m height an official height?

I guess then CNs reign as highest habitable floor will come to an end. I have been on the CN Tower many times and will be going on it in September. The restaurant of US7 will have a great view looking DOWN on 2IFC.

Too bad they are making the observatory no higher than floor 90. If one day I visit HK, I would make sure I have a reservation on the restaurant to view things from the very top. The main restaurant floor will be 2m higher than the roof of Sears Tower. And the restaurant mezzanine will be 3m higher than the roof of Taipei 101.

This will be a most exciting building.

@Beyond 1000
That 451 figure is just a measurement from the KPF elevation, and i think that elevation is out of date now .....The final design (floor plan) would be different...

The good things will take their sweet time. At the end US7 will rise and eventually fly above 2IFC. The podium will take a bit of time to complete however.
