Oh I really like the new Portland buidlings aswell. So different. I like different modern styles like that.

Some of the buildings above are fine but in general I prefer modern looking buildings. Faux Victorians never quite look right because of the different building materials and some design requirements of newer buildings (people want garages and don't like 50 square foot bedrooms, for example).

Those on-street garage entrances are SO wrong, for SO many reasons. Reminds me of some very poorly-designed, yet high-priced infills in Calgary, a few blocks south of 17th Avenue, at the foot of Mount Royal.

Good infill should have u/g parking.
