I like the glass. However there will be others who do not think highly of it.

It's like Trump. The materials and installation are there however, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Look at all those mullions! It's got to be the longest continuous wall of glass in the city on one of the most diverse streets in the downtown. It's also the predominate colour you will find in any suburban office park.

This one continues to reach, higher and higher. Cranes are visible from Yorkville, and the tower can be seen easily standing at Dundas Square. In another month or two it will tower over Gerrard and Yonge, with only the Delta Chelsea out of reach (barely).

Now it appears the super-structure is well past the podium, this should go up fast. Out of all of the Toronto towers under-construction, this is one is my favorite. When is this beauty suppose to be complete?

I don't know how you are all drawing conclusions about the glass with only 1.5 floors of it up. The first row looks pretty wavy, but that's not something that is fair to judge until you've got at least 5 floors or so of glass up.

The fact is in Toronto, glass curtianwall is not something we are use to on straight condo towers like this. Very different from Vancouver, New York or Chicago where almost all condo towers go up with curtianwall cladding.

Here most towers are window wall, so you see where we are coming from.

wow that seems like a long ways away.
but that's probably for full tower completion, in terms of the juiciness that we get, this one should be topped off and apart of our city skyline by spring 2013, with the other details to follow... and i think the podium/retail is set to open late next year as well.

...and LOL! shitdisturber! BEST WORD EVER!

So is the tower portion of Aura going up now? Looks like there are 3-4 levels of it already, judging by Caltrane's photo this morning...

New to the site here as I found it by browsing an interest of mine, which is obviously large buildings .

Thought I'd contribute. Cell pic taken of Aura from my offce this morning. Sorry about the glare. Will try to keep this thread updated from my view as the construction continues.
