10-Story Hotel Planned for West Side of Downtown SA.

The Staybridge Suites at Commerce St. and North Pecos is a $15 million, ten-story hotel in historic Cattleman Square in downtown San Antonio with 120 suites. The property is expected to open early 2009 and will bring 30 new employment opportunities to the community. The hotel is owned by Vaquero Development Company and managed by Dallas-based Hospitality Management Corporation, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.

Nothing major but it should add nicely to that area with the Vistana.

It'll be just outside the "central loop" about a block or two north of UTSA downtown campus.

Very nice... the more the better. Convenient to UTSA-Downtown and the Mercado.

Hmm well that will be nice little project. Not to be mean but that area will struggle until something is done about the Sam's shelter there. The question is what to do???

Thank God! I always hated that f***ing "historic" Toudouze eyesore of a building and wished they would raze it. Theres no value to that crumbling pile of nothing, it's just old bricks with no artistic merit and I'm glad that it's gonna go away.

Cool. I've added it to Emporis. Thanks for the update.
