Smile NEW YORK | 151 West 21st St. | 14 FLOORS

This is a project by SBJ Group, and it's just residential filler. Will rise 14 stories, and construction is already well underway.

Full construction update on 151 West 21st Street

No problem.

There are so many projects u/c in NYC right now that haven't been mentioned on the forums at all. Even in this relatively bad economy, shows how impressive the city is.

I normally forget to take pictures of most of them, too.. doing my best to remember now with the blog and all, though.

This building has a twin. Right before you get in the Holland Tunnel on your left hand side. Same color, setback and about same size.

Cladding is underway on this building. Looks pretty nice, classy but not flashy. Hard to tell but looks like a grayish slate is being used and then brick on the side walls.

Is something currently covering the stone or not? I ask, because I thought it be more buffed and polished like the rendering making it a bit more reflective. As it stands, it's looking "flat."
