Haven't posted anything in a while but I will check in once in awhile and have noticed he hasn't visited here.

I haven't posted anything on SSP since October 11. The longest break I've taken from here since I joined in '03.

I lurk more than I post nowadays. Given how uppity and ideological some of the regulars are, I just don't have the time or the patience to engage in arguments.

Also, I lost a maternal uncle and my paternal grandfather last month and my parents are in a rocky spot in their marriage, so most things/interests have fallen by the wayside.

Merry Christmas to you too HIMS. I also hope LMich is somehow coping with his tragedy during this Holiday season. He's been MIA for 3 months now, and I do miss his posts.

On another note, I feel enough time has passed so starting to post on Midwest Coffee again will not be considered uncaring, but rather trying to get back to "normal" (which is a bit of a misnomer for this sub-forum, if you know what I mean ).

To all those who patronize this rascal, hope you get your Xmas wishes. Enjoy your time with family, friends, or even quiet solitude.

I stayed awake long enough to watch the ball drop in Times Square so, yeah, I was in bed by 11:00 PM CDT.
