This is a glass box done right. A crown, facade texture. Simple touches to make this building a sight to behold, specially while being so lonely! Any news on the other two scrapers that were planned as its neighbors?

247 Cherry was halted. Same for the other LES towers. Some NIBMY bullcrap as usual. Delays, seeking more recommendations and guidance from the community. Court order too.

In time I think the LES Towers at Rutgers Slip and Cherry Street will rise, but not without some disheveled, and entitled folks fighting the good fight, in their eyes.

So time really, we just have to wait.

for years my spouse had about the best views in town from her office desk, but they are moving to hudson square, so these pics from the last day yesterday are it:

When the rest of the LES towers rise, that perspective will be a wall of towers. 247 Cherry alone will be massive (super tall). Right now its just court bs with the LES towers, but I think the NIMBYS and their hack politicians will fail. Margaret Chin, that Chinatown hack.

Agree. This really is the perfect place for this development: Lots of open space and no worthy history / architecture gets demo'ed. Hoping (and assuming) it all goes forward.
