One Hawthorne's website is now up. Thanks to SocketSite for the heads up and for pulling this great rendering of the roof terrace:

Didn't know that was part of the plan. There's another nice shot of the view on the One Hawthorne site, but I don't know how to pull it out of Flash.

This one is just about done from the outside. The external lifts are gone and they're within a few floors of zipping up the glass. I took several shots today from various angles.

I don't know if they are choosing colors or are going to go two-tone on the concrete or what:

Still some finishing work to do on the ground floor, but we have our sidewalk back on Howard at least:

Marketing is ramping up:

u know - this building turned out alright. reminds me alittle of the blu on fremont.
those pics show how nicely soma is coming together.

since this is complete and so is trinity (phase 1), does that mean there are NO high-rises or skyscrapers under construction in sf?

^Ha! I was going to post that too. Very different from what we can see from the street. Someone must have had access to the upper floors of the old PacBell Building. It would sure be nice if that was because the seemingly dormant plans to turn it into condos are making progress.

Speaking of reuse, it seems like there's some retrofitting going on in the 60's building on the right background of that last pic. Either that, or boarded-up windows are back in vogue.

That's another project that was stalled by the economy. There are plans to update the facade with a glass curtain-wall and completely redo the interior space. They got as far as gutting the place and testing some of the new glass panels on the ground floor when the whole project stopped. Haven't heard anything about it in awhile.

that plan has been scrapped, but supposedly the building is now going to be torn down to make way for the new moscone east expansion. this building (680 folsom), 50 hawthorne (the shorter building in front of it) and the moscone parking garage (just off screen to the right) will all be replaced by towers and convention space.

It's too bad about the base and the blank wall because this one is really slick.

It would be great if this could happen sooner rather than later!

Doh! I forgot all about that one. CoyoteTrickster was kind enough to give me a complete rundown of the economics of that proposal. How could I forget?

The sales office and some models are now open. CurbedSF took a tour and has posted a ton of photos on their site. Definitely worth checking out.

Thought people might find this interesting given the discussion about One Hawthorne so far.
