Stefan's Drawing Corner [wallpaper sized screenshots]

Welcome to Stefan's Drawing Corner!

Well anyway, I think it's high time that I let people know what new illustrations I'm doing. Can't be keeping quiet all the time, ya. Here in this space, I'll be updating it frequently and the progress of my new drawings. All of them are in a scale of 40:1, but of course, to keep copyright copycats from, how should I say, stealing them, ya? I'll just show part by part of it, screenshot after screenshot of the part drawing.

P.S, in case you didn't know my real name is Stefan. Don't ask me why and how I got my username as "SomeFormOFhuman", but I guess I shouldn't have chose it in the first place. I didn't like my username for some reason. Just call me Stefan.

Currently, I'm drawing the Chrysler Building, in New York City in 40:1 scale. This will be for the new poster and yeah, something for myself. Watch the updates as I go along.

Yes, here comes the nutcase with his nut drawing!

1. Sorry for the copyright symbol on the face of the drawings. Couldn't think of a much better way to post them in original 40:1 scale.

2. The drawings are not rendered yet. That means, shading, shadowing, texturing, facade tiling, facade dirt effects, and other gradient and lighting effects are not added as yet. This is simply to show the overall form of the building. These touchups can be done when the drawing is finished. However with the exception of the entrance of Chrysler and some other parts of the drawing to show certain depth.

3. Done in MS Paint only, Entrance shading and texturing done in Photoshop only.

4. The photoshop file contains 4861 layers. The file size 823Mb just the base alone. The computer crashed a few times despite having 4 gigs of RAM, and a Quad Core Processor.

Well if you want it, you gotta make sure your computer is up to its specs first, man... A 4GB 800Mhz RAM, 2.8GHz 1333MHz FSB Quad Core Processor, 10,000 rpm HD still (Yes) crashes and memory lockups while drawing this. LOL.

I think I should split the file into another .BMP segment to continue.

Thanks guys! More screenshots to come. I'm now drawing the Hood Ornament of the Plymouth.

Study hard and you'll eventually get it! Yeah these system specs are great enough for many purposes, like 3D modeling, CAD Applications, Gaming and stuff like that. It can handle most of things I always do.

If you can, arm yourself with the Samsung 22" LCD Monitor, you'll need it for drawing purposes.

The only problem as I have mentioned before is when it comes to doing drawings 40x the normal scale. Going above 5000 - 6500 + Photoshop layers will get your computer hanging on the tightrope, no matter how great the specs are. Now currently, my photoshop file is nearly 1GB!! I don't know how much more further it can go before the system becomes unstable, and that's just only the base of Chrysler!

Perhaps you're all wondering where I was... though it seems like I've done so little for the week, I bet you should try and draw at this scale and see for yourself the amount of time spent just on one part. Again like I said before, the entire structure isn't rendered completely with shadings and shadows as yet. Changes are necessary along the way, so don't judge it too early.

And if you want to see something behind the scenes, here it is... though not done in photoshop. Those who are familiar with the program might know what it is.

I... I don't know if I can continue if the audience isn't paying good attention to the musician.
